Mangled Carpenter Crannk The Heavy To 11 On Between Blood And Silence | Crannk Reviews

Mangled Carpenter
Between Blood And Silence EP
Label: Rottweiler Records & Broken Curfew Records
Release Date: July 17, 2026

Brutal.

Fucking ruthless.

Mangled Carpenter have produced a titanic EP which cranks the heavy to 11 and does not offer any respite. Poetic aggression wrapped in chaotic screams, intensely driven by fastidious and fierce groove filled, extreme melodic death metal.

Darkness reigns on Between Blood And Silence with a concise statement that Mangled Carpenter are only just getting started. The follow up to their 2023 album, Salvation Syndrome, Between Blood And Silence is a white knuckle dive into a sea of slaughter with deathly atmospheric moods and groove filled ferocity, building on the foundation they had laid with their previous album, with a menacingly mechanised edge.

Guitarist and vocalist Seth Metoyer leaves nothing in the tank with an execution second to none. Kris Olson pounds the low end on the breathtakingly brooding bass and beastly backing vocals, while Mac Hine programs the drums to within an inch of the “Mac Hine’s” life.

I swear, there must have been smoke pouring out of the drum programmer after tracking this album.

The energy, the power, the sheer outlandish intensity of the drumming machine drove this album into places sharper than Rambo’s machete and more tectonic than the deepest of earthquakes.

Without restraint, Mangled Carpenter have brought us a lashing of lethal, abrasive metal, one song after the next, unrelenting until the very last note, also taking on the Mortification track “Terminate Damnation” to perfection.

I was instantly captured by the vigour of Between Blood And Silence. It pulled me in like I was on the precipice of an aural black hole, and I never looked back.

Six tracks of utter brutality.

If you’re after an ear melting experience, then Mangled Carpenter is for you.

The extreme assault is merciless, and I can only imagine what the future has in store for Mangled Carpenter. All I can tell you right now is that this band is, from the ground up, a riotous rapture of all that is metal that will live in your head rent free after just one listen.

Now, I’m off to do a deep dive down the rabbit hole that is Mangled Carpenter.

Enjoy Between Blood And Silence.

It’s poetry in [com]motion.
