Who needs breakfast when you’ve got a grindcore album to devour? OxE strike again with their new album!

G’day everyone, I’m Mr Doom.

The warlocks and wizards return with their beautifully chaotic new album, carefully constructed to twist your soul and melt your face with their groove. Fugue Gnawed From the Scabbed God Cerebrum truly captures OxE’s experimental poise across thirty-three minutes of sonic madness. A new angle has taken shape here — keeping that signature demonic screech and machine-like drumming, but now infused with a strange, almost orchestral atmosphere.

“Musically, the LP is definitely the most experimental OxE to date. In between the utter carnage of the main instruments are layers of synths and organic instrumentation that have gone through various levels of sonic destruction to give the overall soundscape an alien feel.” — Popu

And honestly… that sums it up perfectly.

An Opening of the Gods

“Conquering Divinity” kicks this album off exactly how it should — pure chaos and controlled destruction. The track hits hard, pulls you in with its shifting dynamics, and keeps you engaged with clever fade-outs and relentless energy. It sets the tone immediately — this is not background music, this is an experience.

“Lyrically quite fantastical, evoking certain mythological imagery.”

Chaos Meets Atmosphere

“Heaven’s Empty Halls” holds a special place for me. There’s something about the rhythmic pulse and layered instrumentation that stands out. Riffs for days, a strong sense of symphony woven into the madness, and a clear sign that OxE are evolving. They’re not abandoning what made them heavy — they’re expanding it.

From start to finish, this album showcases growth. In Jesse A.’s own words, the record “feels punishing and disorienting,” and that couldn’t be more accurate. It blends mythological imagery, sonic destruction, and that signature grindcore brutality into something that feels fresh but still unmistakably OxE.

Onchocerciasis Esophagogastroduodenoscopy have taken a serious step forward here — both as musicians and in their overall sound. This isn’t just another release… it’s progression.

This has been such a fun and engaging listen. OxE have really done a number with this one.

May the riffs guide you.
Mr Doom out.
