Fearless Records has welcomed iconic 2000s post-hardcore outfit From First To Last to its global roster, and the band have marked the new partnership with the release of their new single “Your Name In Red Ink”.

For a lot of fans, From First To Last are one of those bands that never really left.
Lineups shifted. Activity levels changed. Years moved on. But for the fans who grew up with Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Bodycount and Heroine, the connection stayed burning. That kind of band does not disappear from people’s lives. They become part of a time, a sound, a feeling and a whole era of alternative music.
Now, with “Your Name In Red Ink”, From First To Last are stepping forward again with real bite.
The new track introduces Lil Lotus on vocals, bringing a fresh voice into the From First To Last world while still holding onto the raw emotion, chaos and sharp edges that helped define the band in the first place.
This is not just nostalgia dressed up for a new cycle.
“Your Name In Red Ink” comes in dangerously raw, packed with clattering riffs, melodic force and volcanic breakdowns. It taps into that early screamo and emo energy, but it does not feel stuck in the past. It feels like a band taking the DNA of what people loved about From First To Last and pushing it into the now.
Speaking about the track and the new partnership with Fearless Records, Lil Lotus says:
“We are excited to drop our first song off the EP and announce we are working with Fearless. Your Name in Red Ink is a good blend of all the different stuff I love about FFTL — plus new and old screamo/emo. I am really excited to see how everyone receives it.”

There is history here, no doubt. But there is also movement. From First To Last are not trying to simply recreate a moment from twenty years ago. They are pulling from what made the band hit so hard in the first place, while allowing a new voice and new energy to carry it forward.
The story of From First To Last reaches back to just after the turn of the century, when co-founders Travis Richter and Matt Good connected through the local Florida scene. At a time when pop punk was everywhere, they had a different vision for what post-hardcore could be. Something with no sonic or emotional guardrails.
The band first turned heads with the Aesthetic EP in 2003 before going on to leave a major imprint on alternative music with Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has A Bodycount in 2004 and Heroine in 2006.
Long before heavy bands building online followings was the norm, From First To Last were hitting the internet hard and using social media to their advantage. Searching for a guitarist, Matt Good connected with Sonny Moore on MySpace, flew him out for an audition, and the band welcomed him as vocalist. That era of the band became a touchstone for a generation of fans who found something raw, dramatic and emotionally unfiltered in their music.
Across the years, From First To Last toured with major names including Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects, Pierce The Veil, Hawthorne Heights and Every Time I Die. They performed on late-night television and landed high-profile syncs in games including Madden, FIFA and Need For Speed.
The band continued shifting shape through different eras, including 2015’s Dead Trees with Periphery frontman Spencer Sotelo on vocals. Sonny Moore returned to lend his voice to the 2017 fan favourite “Make War”, while Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens handled vocal duties on “Mirror Soul” in 2025.
Now, with Lil Lotus stepping up to the microphone, From First To Last feel like they are picking up the thread again.
