The Gloom In The Corner And Fallweather Join August Burns Red Australian Tour

August Burns Red have revealed the updated lineup for their massive Season Of Surrender Tour, heading across Australia and New Zealand this September and October.

With Sydney outfit Bloom unfortunately no longer able to appear, Melbourne cinemacore force The Gloom In The Corner and rising post hardcore quartet Fallweather have now joined the Australian leg alongside American special guests I Promised The World.

The tour will begin at Freo Social in Perth on September 27 before moving through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. August Burns Red will then cross the Tasman for their first New Zealand performances in more than a decade, appearing in Wellington and Auckland.

A New Season Of August Burns Red

Few bands have maintained the consistency, power and connection of August Burns Red.

The GRAMMY Award nominated metalcore stalwarts have spent years building a reputation around precision, musicianship and live shows that strike with both technical force and genuine emotional weight. Their return to Australia and New Zealand already promised to be one of the standout heavy tours of the year, and this updated Australian lineup adds even more depth to the package.

The Season Of Surrender Tour brings together multiple generations and styles from across modern heavy music, moving from established metalcore firepower through cinematic chaos, emotional post hardcore and the rising energy of the underground.

The Gloom In The Corner Bring Royal Discordance To The Tour

Melbourne’s The Gloom In The Corner have spent years developing one of the most recognisable identities in Australian heavy music.

Blending punishing metalcore with cinematic theatricality, detailed lore and moments of unrestrained chaos, the band create music that feels designed to pull listeners into another world before tearing that world apart around them.

Earlier this year, The Gloom In The Corner released their new album Royal Discordance, a release that pushed their already ambitious sound into even larger and more dramatic territory.

The album expands the band’s sonic palette without losing the aggression and malice that made them such a dangerous live act in the first place. Whether supporting bands including Wage War, Make Them Suffer, AngelMaker and Aviana or commanding their own headline stages, The Gloom In The Corner have continued to sharpen both their sound and live presence.

Their addition to the Season Of Surrender Tour means Australian crowds will experience the band armed with new music, cinematic heaviness and the kind of lore soaked performance that makes every Gloom set feel like part concert and part descent into something far darker.

Fallweather Step Into A Massive Opportunity

Also joining the Australian dates are Melbourne post hardcore quartet Fallweather.

The band bring together the nostalgic emotion of early 2000s post hardcore with modern metal weight, pulling inspiration from the worlds of Deftones, Counterparts, Void Of Vision, Northlane and Thornhill while developing an identity of their own.

Fallweather recently released the new single “Mourn”, taken from their forthcoming debut album Because You Were Here, due for release on August 19.

Their sound moves between soaring clean vocals, raw screams, melodic atmosphere and heavy modern impact, creating the kind of emotional push and pull that made post hardcore such a powerful movement in the first place.

Having already shared stages with LANDMVRKS, Senses Fail and Saosin, Fallweather now step onto one of their biggest Australian tours yet. With their debut album arriving only weeks before the tour begins, these shows will give audiences an early opportunity to experience their next chapter in a live setting.

I Promised The World Join The Australian Dates

American outfit I Promised The World will also appear across the Australian leg of the tour.

Their inclusion gives the lineup another important connection to the emerging heavy underground, completing a bill that balances August Burns Red’s veteran command with three younger acts carrying different corners of modern hardcore, metalcore and post hardcore forward.

The Australian dates will feature August Burns Red, I Promised The World, The Gloom In The Corner and Fallweather.

The Wellington and Auckland shows will feature August Burns Red only.
