Nonpoint rise up again, writing on the walls and extending their hand to us with The Last Word. The nu-metal legends have proved time and time again that they have more to say, and this wicked album is no different!
Heavy riffs, alternative style and that unique sound that holds everything together. Nonpoint are delivering some of their best work yet! Highly catchy, with multiple reasons why this album has played six-plus times in my house! I couldn’t stop moving with this one, hitting my favourite genre with that rock and alternative sound.
The Last Word holds multiple hardcore bangers that will absolutely pop off once discovered. At only ten songs long, it just doesn’t feel like enough!
Nonpoint have had an absolutely phenomenal run over more than twenty-five years, with eleven studio albums and countless singles. Their story is held together by the goals of five lads with extreme ambition.
Legendary frontman Elias Soriano puts his heart and soul into every word. Robb Rivera pumps out the double kicks with that smashing rhythm, while Adam Woloszyn holds down the passion with his wicked bass skills. Jaysin Zeilstra brings the heat on lead guitar with backup vocals, and Rasheed Thomas rounds everything out on rhythm guitar and more backing vocals.
This five-man crew really know how to throw us the fuck down!
Fine Print
Symphonic-coded magic! The heavy chugs held me tight as I got ready for greatness!
Their rock is heavy, the guitars hold true and strong, and all the pieces fit perfectly into place. There’s a unique heaviness here, mixing those symphonic touches with strong guitars swinging through your head.
It really isn’t enough! The breakdown had everything that was needed, giving this track that extra punch and leaving me wanting more.
Red Yeti
An electronic opening, passionate lyrics and a vocal tone that graces us with another fine experience.
“Red Yeti” won me over hardcore with its rhythm and chugs. It had me scrunching my face up!
The alternative sound really shines through here. I’m still humming this one while doing normal day-to-day things! That guitar sound pulls everything together, alongside the wicked words from our frontman.
This song came out as a single to give us a taste of what was to come, and what a wicked choice that was, in my opinion!
The Last Word
Overall, this album is an absolute must-listen!
The Last Word is a wicked addition to an already fantastic line of work from Nonpoint. With heavy riffs, catchy hooks, passionate vocals and an energy that refuses to let up, these lads have delivered something that deserves to be played loud.
Their The Even More Outta Control Tour helped set the stage for this next chapter, and what a wicked launch point it is!
