Kingdom Of Giants are back with a brand new single, and this one feels like the start of something big.
The California heavy hitters have released their new track “Respawn”, along with a brand new video, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter for the band. The single is out now and comes loaded with thick grooves, buzzsaw riffs and that raw kinetic energy that feels ready made to explode live.

“Respawn” is also the first track to feature the band’s new lineup, with JT Gutierrez joining on bass and vocals. His arrival adds another layer to the Kingdom Of Giants sound, bringing extra dynamic punch and contrast alongside vocalist Dana Willax.
Speaking about joining the band and the meaning of this new chapter, Gutierrez says:
“Respawn is the start of a new chapter for the band — and for me stepping in. I’ve been working for 15 years trying to get to where I am today, and joining this band marks a turning point in my life that I will forever be grateful for. Working with the guys has been an incredibly smooth transition and they have become a very important part of my life. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s next.”
That sense of renewal is all over the track. “Respawn” has the feeling of a band kicking the door open again, not starting over, but reloading with fresh energy and new fire.
Dana Willax also shared how much the track means to him, calling it his favourite Kingdom Of Giants song in a long time.
“Respawn is my favorite KOG track in as long as I can remember and I’m so excited to have JT be a part of it. I absolutely love how diverse his voice is and how well we work together and contrast each other simultaneously. Respawn dives deep into a relationship that you know is wrong and unhealthy, yet you let that person back in for another chance even when they have proven themselves untrustworthy with something that is so close and important to you, and yet again, they let you down.”
That emotional core gives the track its extra weight. Underneath the grooves, riffs and full throttle energy, “Respawn” digs into the cycle of letting someone back in when you know they are not good for you. It is heavy in sound, but also heavy in feeling, and that has always been where bands like Kingdom Of Giants can really hit hard.
The current Kingdom Of Giants lineup features Dana Willax on vocals, JT Gutierrez on bass and vocals, Truman Berlin on drums, Max Bremer on guitar and Julian Perez on guitar.
With more new music on the way, “Respawn” feels like a strong first look at where this new era is heading. It is sharp, aggressive, emotionally charged and built with the kind of intensity that should absolutely crush in a live setting.
Australian fans will not have to wait long to see the band bring this new chapter to the stage either, with Kingdom Of Giants heading our way this August supporting Holding Absence on their Australian tour.
This is a huge pairing for fans who love heavy music with atmosphere, emotion and live intensity. Holding Absence bring that soaring, emotionally driven power, while Kingdom Of Giants are set to add a harder edge and plenty of pit fuel to the night.
