Brujeria have never been interested in playing nice.

As the legendary extreme-metal collective prepare to hit Australia and New Zealand alongside CARCASS for the Putrefying Down Under tour this September and October, KillerTube caught up with El Criminal for a quick conversation about the band, the live experience and what fans can expect when Brujeria bring their particular brand of madness Down Under.

There’s no shortage of history behind Brujeria. For decades, the band have carved out their own filthy little corner of extreme music, smashing together death metal, grindcore, punk attitude and an unapologetic sense of chaos.

And that attitude hasn’t gone anywhere.

With CARCASS headlining the upcoming tour, Brujeria are stepping into some seriously heavy territory — but they’re hardly strangers to sharing a stage with giants. Their reputation has always been built on one thing: turning up and causing damage.

For Australian fans, this is a chance to experience that insanity firsthand.

The Putrefying Down Under tour runs from September 22 to October 2, 2026, bringing CARCASS, Brujeria and a collection of Australia’s heaviest crowds together for what promises to be one seriously ugly celebration of extreme metal.

We caught up with El Criminal ahead of the tour.

This is the gospel.

I bite crowd surfers.
