Wolfgang Van Halen Unleashes Third Album The End and Cinematic Follow-Up Video “Same Old Song”

Following an unstoppable creative streak, GRAMMY®-nominated multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter Wolfgang Van Halen returns with his most ambitious and emotionally charged work yet — MAMMOTH’s third studio album, The End, out now via BMG.

To mark the album’s release, MAMMOTH have dropped a brand-new music video for “Same Old Song”, which continues the cinematic Mammoth-verse that has thrilled fans across their recent run of singles and videos.

From Dusk ’Til Dawn to The End — The Mammoth-Verse Evolves

“Same Old Song” picks up where the video for “The End” left off, bringing the apocalyptic chaos of zombies, vampires, and werewolves — directed by Robert Rodriguez — to a cinematic close. The new video, directed by JT Ibanez, sees Wolfgang awaken from that nightmare, returning to reality as the band dives into rehearsal mode.

It’s pure Mammoth energy — tight, soulful, and bursting with the live chemistry that has defined Wolfgang’s musical vision since his solo debut.

With The End, Wolfgang once again writes, performs, and records every instrument and vocal himself — a true one-man force of creativity. Produced by longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette, the record sees him push further into the depth and scope of his sound, balancing anthemic hooks with heartfelt introspection.

The Evolution of MAMMOTH

From the hypnotic opener “One Of A Kind” to the soaring closer “All In Good Time”, The End encapsulates the artistic growth and emotional range that has come to define Wolfgang’s solo career. Tracks like “Happy,” “Something New,” and “Selfish” reveal an artist unafraid to experiment while staying rooted in melody, emotion, and groove.

The album follows a string of powerhouse singles — including “The End”, “The Spell” (which hit Top 20 at Active Rock), and “I Really Wanna” — that have all racked up millions of views and streams, cementing MAMMOTH as one of modern rock’s most vital acts.

The cinematic “The End” video, directed by Robert Rodriguez and Greg Nicotero, became an instant viral hit with over 5 million views, featuring cameos from Danny Trejo, Slash, Myles Kennedy, and Wolfgang’s mother Valerie Bertinelli.
