Swedish melodic metal powerhouse The Halo Effect have kicked off their highly anticipated European tour alongside Heaven Shall Burn and The Black Dahlia Murder, marking the occasion with the release of a powerful new collaborative single titled “Lest We Fall.”
Released to coincide with the opening of the tour, the track brings together three of modern melodic metal’s most respected voices. The song features vocal performances from Mikael Stanne, Marcus Bischoff, and Brian Eschbach, blending the distinct strengths of each band into a crushing and anthemic statement that celebrates unity within the heavy music community.
Driven by soaring melodic hooks, razor sharp riffing, and the unmistakable intensity that all three bands are known for, “Lest We Fall” stands as both a celebration of the tour and a testament to the shared legacy between these groups. The collaboration captures the spirit of the road itself. Different bands, different histories, but a shared passion for heavy music and the audiences that keep it alive.
To accompany the single’s release, the bands have now unveiled a live performance video filmed during the opening days of the European tour. The visual perfectly captures the raw stage energy of the collaboration, giving fans a glimpse of the explosive atmosphere currently unfolding across venues throughout the continent.
Mikael Stanne of The Halo Effect explains the thinking behind the release.
“In order to kick this tour off properly we have a treat of epic proportions for you guys. As we are in full production for our next album we decided to take a bit of a detour and create something specifically for this tour throughout Europe. So here it is. ‘Lest We Fall’ featuring none other than Marcus Bischoff from Heaven Shall Burn and Brian Eschbach from The Black Dahlia Murder. Enjoy and see you out on the road.”
For Heaven Shall Burn, the collaboration carries deeper significance. Guitarist Maik Weichert reflected on the shared musical lineage between the bands.
“Without the musical contributions of each and every member of The Halo Effect, the sound of Heaven Shall Burn simply wouldn’t exist in this form. It’s a huge honour for us to finally join forces with our friends and present this song to you. We’re also incredibly excited to have the guys on tour with us. This is going to be the best school trip ever. Be there.”
Brian Eschbach from The Black Dahlia Murder also shared his appreciation for the opportunity.
“Very honoured to have been asked to join in on this one with these melodic death metal legends.”
With the tour now underway across Europe and the new video showcasing the on stage chemistry between the bands, “Lest We Fall” serves as both a celebration of the tour and a reminder of how powerful collaboration can be within the global metal community.
Fans can watch the live video now and stream the track across all major platforms.
