Brisbane alternative rock trio The Comfort returns with a hauntingly groovy new single, “Blossom”, out now and available on all streaming platforms. Following the national tour with Chasing Ghosts and in the lead-up to their performance at Converge Festival this September, the band delivers an introspective, dance-tinged alt-rock banger that navigates the struggles of burnout and the catharsis of artistic rebirth.

“Blossom” is the powerful follow-up to May’s “Down (How Many Times Can I Lose Everything?)” and sees the band rechanneling their heavier early energy, blending emotive vocals with addictive riffs, dynamic textures, and lyrical honesty. Produced by ARIA-nominated Callan Orr, the track is a heartfelt reflection on navigating the modern music industry, confronting internal burnout, and finding beauty in growth through struggle.
“It’s about rising above the noise, letting go of expectations, and choosing to create because we love it,” the band shares. “Even when things feel worn out or forgotten, there’s still something beautiful waiting to grow.”
🌱 Blossom: Music As Survival & Self-Discovery
The Comfort — comprised of Dom Harper (vocals/bass), Liam Holmes (vocals/guitar), and Marcus Parente (guitar) — have long stood as a beacon for emotional honesty in Australian alt-rock. With a career spanning over a decade, and more than 7.3 million streams to date, their music continues to resonate with fans who seek something deeper — music that speaks to mental health, growth, and the real, raw process of becoming.
Their 2022 album Experience Everything. Live And Die. released via Greyscale Records, featured collaborations with AJ Perdomo (The Dangerous Summer) and Dylan Davidson (Deadlights), further expanding their sonic reach and emotional intensity.
Now, “Blossom” takes that journey further — offering both a personal and universal reminder that even through burnout and disillusionment, we still have the power to rise, reflect, and bloom again.
🎤 On Tour & On The Rise
Having just wrapped their national tour supporting Chasing Ghosts, The Comfort are now gearing up for Converge Festival, the brand new multi-city alternative music festival taking place in Melbourne and Brisbane this September, alongside Bad/Love, Young Lions, and more. Don’t miss your chance to catch them live as they continue to connect with audiences across Australia.
