Rob Zombie Ushers In “Heathen Days” — A Hellbilly Resurrection on The Great Satan

The shock-rock visionary, horror-metal icon, and master of the grotesque Rob Zombie has unleashed “Heathen Days,” the newest single from his eighth studio record, The Great Satan, set to drop February 27th, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records. And if this track is anything to go by, Zombie isn’t just returning to his roots—he’s digging them up and letting them bleed all over the floor.

Directed by Zombie himself, the video for “Heathen Days” is a full-force callback to his classic Hellbilly era:
groove-soaked riffs, twisted swagger, industrial grime, and that unmistakable Zombie snarl laying down visions of chaos, war, and the dusty pagan days of the damned.
It feels like a transmission from some outlaw preacher riding through a wasteland with a boombox full of distortion and ancient sin.

A Return to the Hellbilly Gospel

After the chart-crushing success of The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy (2021), Rob Zombie could’ve taken the safe route.

He didn’t.
He went back into the inferno.

The Great Satan is being billed as a revival of the gnarly, punk-infused, chainsaw-swinging madness that shaped his early solo catalog and the later years of White Zombie. Nuclear Blast has teased everything from anthemic punk energy to slaughterhouse rock ’n’ roll, all wired into the psychedelic carnival of horror that only Zombie can summon.

The album packs 15 tracks, including titles that already sound like grindhouse posters waiting to happen:

  • F.T.W. 84
  • Tarantula
  • (I’m a) Rock ’N’ Roller
  • Heathen Days
  • Punks And Demons
  • Who Am I
  • Black Rat Coffin
  • Sir Lord Acid Wolfman
  • The Devilman
  • Revolution Motherfuckers
  • Welcome To The Electric Age
  • The Black Scorpion
  • Unclean Animals
  • Grave Discontent

Hellbilly freakshow?
Punk-rock fever dream?
Satanic roadhouse jukebox?

Probably all of the above—and then some.

🔥 “Punks And Demons”

A high-energy ripper packed with punk bite and hazard-light intensity. The video, as usual, drags viewers into the beautifully warped Zombie cinematic universe.

Rob Zombie isn’t reinventing himself—he’s reclaiming his throne.

Pre-Orders & Collector Editions

The Great Satan is available in a range of formats, including a limited box set, vinyl variants, and themed apparel drops. For longtime fans and collectors, this is shaping up to be one of Zombie’s most ambitious release packages yet.

Zombie’s Dual Dominance: Music Meets Cinema

Even with his film career in overdrive, Rob Zombie never slows down on the music front. The Great Satan stands at the crossroads of his two worlds—cinematic, violent, pulpy, and loud enough to start a riot in a graveyard.

For fans of White Zombie, solo-era classics like Hellbilly Deluxe, or anyone craving something raw amid today’s polished overload—this album is shaping up to be the rebirth of a monster.

February 27th.
The Great Satan rises.
