Finnish melodic heavy metal force Renegade Angel are back with a vengeance. Forged anew and burning brighter than ever, the band have just dropped “Steal the Fire” — the explosive lead single from their upcoming EP of the same name, due out later this year via Inverse Records.

This is Renegade Angel re-forged in steel — tighter, tougher, and ready for war. Helmed by Finnish songwriter and guitarist Jani Pöysä, the band’s latest incarnation is supercharged with vocalist Tavasci (Ancestry), whose voice blazes with both passion and power. Guitar maestro Samuli Federley delivers a scorching solo assault that tears through the track with precision and flair.
“Steal the Fire shows what happens when everyone’s firing on all cylinders,” says Pöysä. “The riffs are sharper, the hooks are massive, and the solos? They’ll scorch you.”
Federley agrees:
“This track demanded everything I had — and I gave it. It’s fast, it’s fierce, it’s full of soul.”
Behind the scenes, Silverio Simioni’s orchestral flourishes and layered arrangements bring cinematic weight to the song’s epic scope. It’s a sound that reflects the band’s evolution since their 2023 full-length Jokesters — a tighter, more aggressive beast with a renewed sense of purpose.
Lyrically, “Steal the Fire” taps into mythic rebellion, channeling the legend of Prometheus—the titan who defied the gods to deliver fire to mankind. It’s an anthem of defiance, empowerment, and reclaiming your flame in a world that tries to extinguish it.
