I recently sat down with the dynamic duo behind some of South Australia’s most exciting DIY metal events to talk about their journey, their mission, and the absolute madness they’re about to unleash with The Ritual on June 13th and Blood Sacrifice II on June 14th.
💀 Realm Of Thorns – Forged in Passion, Fueled by Community
Born out of a shared love for heavy music and a need to give local and underground metal bands a serious platform, Realm Of Thorns Promotions has rapidly become a name that commands respect in the South Australian scene.
From booking stacked all-ages shows to bringing interstate acts into the Adelaide fold, Ethan and Cindy are doing it all—from logistics and promotion to slinging merch and making sure fans walk away remembering why they fell in love with metal in the first place.
And they’re not slowing down—June 13–14 marks their most ambitious weekender yet.
🔥 THE RITUAL – June 13 @ Unit Three (All Ages)
“The Ritual is the pre-show to the sacrifice… and a party for all ages.”
Friday night’s all-ages banger at Unit Three is stacked with a genre-swirling mix of emerging and interstate brutality, including:

The following night, Realm Of Thorns levels up—big time.
Held at TIA Live on Hindley Street, Blood Sacrifice II is a full-blown festival-style showcase of some of Australia’s most devastating metal acts.
