Welsh punk rock chaos merchants Punk Rock Factory are set to bring their high-octane, pop-punk fuelled mayhem back to Australia this November for their Mortal Wombat Tour 2025 — and I caught up with Peej (vocals/guitar) and Stead (lead guitar) for a bloody hilarious and insightful chat about the new album, Aussie anthems, their viral rise, and what fans can expect from their return to Aussie stages.

🔥 WHO ARE PUNK ROCK FACTORY?
Formed in 2014 in South Wales, Punk Rock Factory made their mark turning nostalgic hits and pop culture favourites into full-blown punk rock anthems. With a fierce DIY ethic and a knack for picking tracks people didn’t know they needed in punk form, PRF blew up during the pandemic thanks to viral albums like A Whole New Wurst and Masters of the Uniwurst.
They’ve since become a global phenomenon, playing massive stages including Slam Dunk and Download, and now returning to Australia following their sold-out 2023 shows.
🎶 NEW ALBUM: ALL HANDS ON DECK
Out now as of May 2025, PRF’s latest album All Hands On Deck takes a nostalgic deep dive into the ’90s and early 2000s pop scene. It features punked-up takes on:

In the interview, Peej shared how the idea came from wanting to revisit the “golden era of late night music videos and teen pop,” while Stead revealed which tracks nearly broke them during the arranging process.
