After a five-year silence, Adelaide’s genre-defying heavy outfit Ouroboric has broken their hiatus with a brand-new track titled “For the Record”, out now and streaming on all major platforms.
Marking their first official release since 2020, “For the Record” sees Ouroboric return with a renewed fire—an experimental, bass-forward anthem that captures the raw emotional energy the band has always been known for. It’s a dynamic reintroduction that signals both a rebirth and an evolution.
“We created this track to really let the bass breathe,” the band shares. “It’s a return, but also a step forward—and we’re beyond excited to share it with everyone.”
Formed in early 2014, Ouroboric is an alternative metal band hailing from Adelaide, South Australia. They’ve carved a niche as sonic explorers, defining their music as an Audio Rorschach Test—one that captures everything from a whisper to a scream and the infinite emotional frequencies in between.
By rejecting genre clichés and embracing a progressive, psychological approach to heavy music, Ouroboric continues to push boundaries with a sound that’s as introspective as it is intense.
