May is shaping up to be a great month for the punk scene in Australia with a few music videos being released like Wollongong punkers Topnovil for their song “Nadine“ and Newcastle punks Trashed Again with “Long Way Home” from their EP “Another Way To Fail” which I reviewed back in March.
Over in Western Australia, Perth based punkers Incomplete released a new video for their song “Everything’s Alright” from their self titled debut album, which I reviewed(Review) back in February.
A massive list of releases due out from Melbourne artists and bands with Luke Seymoup releasing his first new music for the year. His video “Spooky” came out on the 6th of May and hints at a pop punk style sound for the new album “PokeGods” due out on the 27th of May. Luke Seymoup Bandcamp

Greyview a pop punk/punk rock band are releasing a new EP “Faded Days” on the 24th of May and 4 piece heavy alternative band
Littlefoot are finally releasing their debut album Bandcamp link
Garage/punk rock outfit Grindhouse released an 8 track live EP called “Live At Goatsound” on the 7th of May. A nice collection of songs from their last three albums, if you haven’t heard them yet than this is a good starting point. Bandcamp Link–
Hardcore inspired punkers Dead Already are releasing their debut album “On A Hook” towards the end of the month(bandcamp Link), around the same time as Amyl and The Sniffers who release their debut album on the 24th of May. (Bandcamp Link)
The Murderballs are releasing their long awaited debut album “Gross Encounters“. Its mostly new material but contains a few tracks from the bands EP’s and the track “Lady Time” which featured on the Punx In Exile compilation released by In Exile Records last year. If you haven’t heard much from the Victorian punk scene its worth checking out with 78 local artist and bands from all over the state contributing a track each, its also a name your price (free) release. In regional Victorian news Ballarat venue Karova Lounge announced it will close its doors in October after putting on some of the best punk shows in town over the last few years.
In Bendigo we got a new venue called Entree Music Bar, they have their first punk show on the 31st of May and local band Dero will play their first hometown show in 6 months with the amazing Wolfpack heading up from Melbourne to join the show. Event Link
Also in Bendigo we have a new booker on the scene called Sharkbite Promotions who are lining up shows for some of the local heavier bands like Nibira. Event link
28 Days & Bodyjar are touring the country together with some amazing local supports like As A Rival (VIC), Fake News (QLD) and Sketch Method (ACT).

A bunch of international releases got me excited about the larger punk community like the new Bad Religion album “Age Of Unreason” which I’m still listening to on repeat. Label mates Hot Water Music have a new EP coming out on the 24th of May.
Fat Wreck Chords has released C. J. Ramone’s album “The Holy Spell” and are releasing the new Bracket album towards the end of the month.
In the UK the band Lesser Known Character released a new EP(Check out our Review here). and UkePunk released their second album(Review Here).
