Hailing out of the deep dark depths of Western Australia’s Black Metal scene is Cancer, a depressive black metal band forming in 2016. Cancer has since released the “Terminal” Ep in 2016 and two full-length albums “Into The Heartless Silence“2018 and their most recent album “Opioid” which was released August 14, 2020.
I caught up with Vocalist John Pescod and Guitarist Dan Jackson from Cancer to dive into the latest album “Opioid”, recording and production, the works of Thomas De Quincey and how that helped influence the songwriting for this album, and a lot more so sit back and check it all out. \m/
