Crannk Interviews Kittie: Mercedes Lander

Jai That Aussie Metal Guy recently caught up with Mercedes Lander from Kittie who after a 13-year hiatus, has made a triumphant return with their latest album, Fire Released through Sumerian Records last year 2024. Formed in 1996 by the Lander sisters, Mercedes and Morgan, Kittie burst onto the scene in 1999 with their debut album Spit, quickly becoming a force in the nu-metal genre. Over the years, they evolved into a full-fledged metal band, releasing six albums that showcased their growth and versatility. Now, with Fire, Kittie has fused elements from their entire discography into a volatile and powerful record, proving that they’ve lost none of their venom.

Be sure to catch Canadian Metal Legends Kittie as they kick off their tour this week supporting Ukrainian metal juggernauts, Jinjer.

This is the kind of metal showdown that will leave you breathless, exhilarated, and still craving more. Don’t miss out on what promises to be a show for the ages.
An unforgettable night of pure, unrelenting power.
