From the thunderous stages of The Iron Maidens to leading the charge with the powerhouse that is Burning Witches, Courtney Cox has carved out her place as one of the most electrifying guitarists in heavy metal today. Known for her razor-sharp technique, blistering solos, and commanding presence, Courtney is a true force in the metal world—and she’s only getting started.
Courtney first made her mark as “Adriana Smith,” the Iron Maiden–inspired alter ego during her time with The Iron Maidens, the world’s premier all-female Iron Maiden tribute act. With over a decade of international touring and countless epic performances under her belt, she became a fan favorite for her dynamic performances and faithful renditions of Maiden’s legendary guitar work.
In 2023, Courtney officially joined Burning Witches as lead guitarist, stepping into a new era and helping unleash the band’s ferocious 2023 album The Dark Tower. Her playing brought a new edge and flair to the band’s already punishing sound, solidifying her status as one of modern metal’s standout shredders.

Burning Witches are a Swiss heavy/power metal band, founded in 2015 by rhythm guitarist Romana Kalkuhl. Known for bringing the spirit of classic ’80s metal into the modern era, the band delivers skyscraping guitar solos, bludgeoning vocals, and lightning-fast drums that harken back to the golden days of heavy metal.
