Legendary Swedish-Norwegian rap-metal pioneers CLAWFINGER have returned, and they aren’t holding back. Their brand-new single “Scum”, out now via PERCEPTION (a division of Reigning Phoenix Music), is a searing blast of punk-rap rage, loaded with sharp lyrics, ferocious riffs, and uncompromising attitude.
“‘Scum’ is a raw, loud, and brutally honest punk rap anthem that goes straight for the throat,” says frontman Zak Tell. “It’s aimed at the kind of guy who’s selfish, sexist, full of himself and somehow still talking. Formed in Stockholm in the early ’90s, CLAWFINGER exploded onto the scene with their groundbreaking debut Deaf Dumb Blind in 1993, which sold over 600,000 copies worldwide and won a Swedish Grammis Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal. Known for their potent fusion of aggressive guitars, politically charged lyrics, and rap vocal delivery, the band helped define the rap-metal genre long before it became mainstream.
