Symphonic metal powerhouse Beyond The Black have unveiled their brand-new single “The Art Of Being Alone”, featuring guest vocals from Chris Harms of German dark metal icons Lord Of The Lost. The track is the third glimpse into the band’s highly anticipated upcoming album Break The Silence, set for release January 9th, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records.
A stirring anthem of fragility, strength, and self-discovery, “The Art Of Being Alone” confronts themes of mental health, empowerment, and the human struggle to find light in solitude. The official video, released alongside the single, visually captures these emotions—depicting isolation, inner battles, and ultimately, the liberating path to self-awareness.
Jennifer Haben on “The Art Of Being Alone”
Singer Jennifer Haben shared the deeply personal roots of the song:
“‘The Art Of Being Alone’ is one of the most emotional songs for us since it‘s born from personal battles and quiet reflections. We wanted it to be fragile and powerful at the same time and we believe many of you will find your own story between its lines. Having Chris Harms join us with his uniquely intense voice and personality felt absolutely perfect and brought a depth to this track that made it even more special.”
Chris Harms on the Collaboration
Lord Of The Lost frontman Chris Harms added:
“This duet was long overdue! For more than 10 years now, LORD OF THE LOST and BEYOND THE BLACK have been crossing paths — we like and appreciate each other and it was kind of obvious that Jenny’s and my voices would work great together. Now we’ve finally made it happen and created this powerful, goosebump-inducing song together! I’m really happy about it!”
New Album Break The Silence
Break The Silence marks Beyond The Black’s sixth studio album and is set to be a landmark release in the band’s career. A concept record rooted in melodic metal with ethno influences, it explores themes of communication, inner strength, resilience, and the urgent need to reconnect in a fractured world.
With tracks like “Let There Be Rain”, “(La Vie Est Un) Cinéma”, “Ravens” and “The Flood”, the album dives into how words — and silence — shape our lives. It promises to be an emotionally rich, multi-layered experience that reflects today’s complex reality while offering hope and empowerment.
