Bandanas, Blood, and a New Record: Suicidal Tendencies Return

The streets are twitching again, the gutters coughing up riffs and paranoia, because Mike Muir — the eternal cyco in a bandana — has cracked open the vault and muttered the sacred words: a new Suicidal Tendencies record is coming. Not tomorrow, not today, but soon enough that the tremors are already rattling the beer cans on your kitchen bench.

He says the Cyco Miko solo madness drops first, like a test dose before the real trip, but Suicidal will follow. And it won’t be safe. Muir warned it’ll be different — the kind of different that splits the pit in two — the lifers screaming “this is it!” while the purists fold their arms and snarl. Good. That’s how it should be.

We’ve already had a taste: “Adrenaline Addict” came tearing out like a Molotov, Jay Weinberg pounding the skins like a man born for the asylum. That’s the appetizer. The feast is coming.

The Aussie Invasion

And for the faithful down under, the cycos aren’t just whispering promises — they’re stomping into your cities in late 2025. Suicidal Tendencies will be part of Metallica’s M72 tour, but that’s just the cover story: they’re carving out headline shows on their off-days, bringing firsts, fury, and local heat to every stage.

Dates and stops (support by Big Noter) include:

  • Oct 31 — Magnet House, Perth
  • Nov 7 — The Forum, Melbourne
  • Nov 9 — Pier Bandroom, Frankston
  • Nov 11 — The Tivoli, Brisbane
  • Nov 14 — The Roundhouse, Sydney
  • Nov 18 — The Powerstation, Auckland (NZ)

They’ll be tearing up stages with their new lineup — Muir, guitar punks Ben Weinman and Dean Pleasants, bassist Tye Trujillo, and the thunderous Jay Weinberg behind the kit — a version of Suicidal never seen in Australia before.

Stay cyco, stay loud, and when the lights go out, scream like it’s the last night on earth
This is gospel.
