Bad Neighbour Announces “Millions Album” and drops new single “Heart Pumps Blood”

Brisbane alternative indie rock outfit Bad Neighbour have announced their debut albumMillionswill be released Friday, September 20. The band share their new single Heart Pumps Blood as a taste of more to come!

Bringing together an expansive pallet of sounds whilst continuing to deliver their rejuvenated take on nostalgic punk rock, the new single Heart Pumps Blood is about recognising that even with an abundance of love and empathy in your life, this won’t fix all your problems. Heart Pumps Blood joins May’s And The Fleas and February’s In The Car as the third track to be released off the long-awaited debut album, ‘Millions’. Each single has showcased rough-around-the-edges punk, embellished with a distinctly emo flair and is a testament to the band’s evolution as artists and their ability to craft songs that resonate on a personal level.

Having been in the process of creation for three years, the forthcoming album ‘Millions’ takes a reflective look at love, loss and connection: “there were people in our lives during the writing process of Millions that we knew wouldn’t be in our lives forever,” says the band. “It’s almost as if we wrote about some of those losses before they happened.”

Weaving through moments of raw unrelenting energy with heartfelt, honest and emotive lyricism, ‘Millions’ wears its heart on its sleeve and showcases a sound well beyond Bad Neighbour’s years. “We’re incredibly excited to share this release with the world, writing this record was very cathartic for us and to have something palpable we can share with people is very special to us.”

The previous single And The Fleas was celebrated live at a packed-out hometown headliner presented by Destroy All Lines earlier this month, and the band have just been announced as the main support for Californian rockers Badflower this August. Limited tickets are available via Destroy All Lines.

Launching in 2019 with their debut single Odd Socks, Bad Neighbour came together off the back of shared musical interests and combined motivation to tread their own sonic ground inspired by the likes of PUP, Modern Baseball and The Menzingers. Lead by Cooper Riley (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) and joined by Zoe Middleton (lead guitar/vocals), Liam Sumner (bass/vocals) and Jack Parkes (drums),
