Baltimore’s ever restless rock agitators ANGEL DU$T are back and swinging harder than ever with their new single “I’m The Outside”, the latest taste of their upcoming album Cold 2 The Touch, out February 13 via Run For Cover Records and Civilians.
Clocking in at a lean 26 minutes, Cold 2 The Touch promises zero filler and maximum impact. This is ANGEL DU$T at their most feral and free flowing, colliding punk urgency, hardcore muscle, and a swagger soaked love for classic 90s alternative rock. It is a record built for movement, sweat, and speakers pushed to their breaking point.
The sound and the fury
“I’m The Outside” follows a sharp run of singles including “DU$T”, “Cold 2 The Touch”, “The Knife”, and “The Beat”, each one revealing a different angle of the band’s evolving identity. This latest cut is pure ANGEL DU$T whiplash. Galloping punk energy crashes headlong into riffs so thick and fuzzy they feel almost physical, before snapping back into hook driven chaos.
There is a confident looseness here that recalls Stone Temple Pilots level groove filtered through the raw nerve of Baltimore hardcore. It is heavy without being rigid, catchy without sanding down its teeth. The accompanying video, now live on YouTube, mirrors that energy perfectly, capturing the band in full strut mode, reckless and unapologetic.
Reuniting with Brian McTernan
Frontman Justice Tripp describes Cold 2 The Touch as a reaffirmation of identity, and that intent is amplified by the band’s reunion with legendary producer Brian McTernan, whose resume includes Turnstile, Converge, and Bane. McTernan helped shape ANGEL DU$T’s early sound, and this return feels less like nostalgia and more like unfinished business.
The album also plays like a hardcore family gathering set ablaze. Guest appearances come from Scott Vogel of Terror, Wes Eisold of American Nightmare and Cold Cave, Patrick Cozens of Restraining Order, Frank Carter, and Taylor Young of Twitching Tongues and Deadbody. It is a stacked lineup that reinforces ANGEL DU$T’s place at the crossroads of hardcore history and modern rock evolution.
Adding further weight, this marks the first ANGEL DU$T release to feature Nick Lewis and Jim Carroll, both formerly of American Nightmare, Suicide File, and The Hope Conspiracy. Their presence injects even more urgency and volatility into an already combustible mix.
“This is who I am,” Tripp states. “These are people who are always going to be playing aggressive rock and roll. It is happening whether you like it or not. I am me, and if you get in my way I am going to crush you.”

Pairing these two bands feels dangerously perfect, a collision of distortion, melody, and emotional weight.
