Melbourne’s own hard rock firestarters Ablaze have just unleashed their long-awaited second album Sink Ya Teeth In, out today, August 1st — and it’s an absolute ripper.
The follow-up to their much-loved debut No Chaser, this new eight-track beast is the band’s first vinyl release, and it’s already racking up rave reviews and international buzz. With a tight, all-killer-no-filler approach, Sink Ya Teeth In barrels forward like a runaway pub-rock train — loud, loose, and loaded with personality.
The album kicks off in full-throttle fashion with the swaggering opener Gasoline, before tearing through punchy, gritty rockers like Next Train Out, the hard-hitting and haunting Siren’s Call, and the sleaze-drenched Menace for the Medicine. Every track hits like it was written to be blasted in a sweaty, beer-soaked venue — and that’s exactly where Ablaze thrive.
From front to back, Sink Ya Teeth In captures the raw energy that’s made Ablaze one of Australia’s most electrifying live acts, but with a sharpened edge in the songwriting department that shows just how much this band has evolved. They’ve managed to bottle that wild, good-time rock ‘n’ roll spirit and slam it down with stadium-sized hooks, tasty guitar work, and attitude for days.

Ablaze will celebrate the album’s release with a huge hometown launch show at The Leadbeater Hotel in Melbourne on Saturday August 9, before setting their sights on UK and Europe for a mammoth month-long tour starting August 28. The international run will see the band tearing up festival stages and rock clubs across Belgium, France, the UK, and Germany, including Rocking The Bowl Fest, Hard Rock Hell Fest, and Sinner Rock Fest, to name a few.
